Michaela  and all-

Based on the presentation at the NY World's Fair in 1964 by AT&T, the
testing of a "calculator arrangement" keypad was TOO familiar to most
people and they pushed the buttons too fast -- the switching equipment of
the day couldn't keep. It's sort of the QWERTY answer to the keyboard
arrangement -- when keys moved on long arms, a really fast typist could
make them jam up -- hence QWERTY which slowed everyone down.
