Help! Successful Reading Counts (EBS) Programs!

Anyone have any helpul ideas for starting and/or successful program ideas
relating to Reading Counts (formerly Electronic Book Shelf)?  We are
basically starting from scratch.  I'm looking for ideas relating to point
divisions, types of prizes, etc.  At this point we cannot afford prizes...and
would like to keep away from toys, candy, etc.  We are a Pre/K-3 grade school
and will begin primarily with 3rd grade...though lower grades can pull put
their kids on...after we get 3rd grade started.
