Hello LM_Netters,

I am in the process of compiling resources that identify "emerging
populations" in U.S. schools. For instance, in our state there is a large
and growing Hmong and Somali population. I have struggled to find quality
resources to purchase for our library supporting these cultures. I am
searching for materials written in English, not neccesarily in the
country's native language. My goal is to identify 15 countries/cultures
that need to be added to our collection. I welcome any information you can
offer. As I research for these materials I am putting together
bibliographies for each individual country/culture and will create a source
book for librarians and educators.

These are the questions that I have:

1. What state are you from and what are your "emerging populations"?

2. Are you able to find materials about these countries/cultures? If yes,
where are you finding your materials?

Please share any resources/titles that you have.

Thank you and please e-mail me directly.
