MID: Stephen King for Middle Schoolers?

Dear Colleagues,

A fifth grader came to the library today looking for Steven King books.
Having only read Skeleton Crew (so well written, but way too scary for me), I
had not even thought about purchasing a Stephen King for our library, which
serves grades 5-7.  Have any of you had experience with any of his titles
that might be included in a middle school collection?  Any difficulties with
same?
