I just had a class of sixth graders who needed to find fiction books that
had something in the story about food. The students as part of their book
talks are asked to prepare the food that is in the story. I could remember
a very small number of books. The Stories Julian Tells has lemon pudding.
How to eat fried worms, Beetles lightly toasted are two others although I
question the food that would be served. I would like for any of you who
know of any others to let me know. These must be edible foods. The books
can be of a lower reading level but not Easy Fiction. Thanks for any
suggestions.
