At grad school we are in the midst of collecting info on Intellectual Freedom as addressed in our judicial system. I will be surfing about to collect some info but also wanted to touch base with all of you. Do the courts protect media specialists et al in cases involving intellectual freedom? What stand do they take? What info/URLs/cases/opinions can you give? I will collect all data and add my own research to a future posting for your info. The basic starting point is the AASL position paper "Access to Resources and Services in the School Library Media Program at http://www.ala.org/aasl/positions/ps_billofrights.html Please respond to me with same subject name TIA Maureen Simmons Media Specialist Fairglen Elementary School Cocoa, Florida upprduck@iu.net =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
