I had a strange experience while connecting an HP desk jet (PC)printer to an
IMAC via an HP product.  The installation failed and crashed the system repeatedly
because the PC interface was 1 mm too large to clear the case of the printer!
 It took almost 1 hour with HP on the phone (long distance to who-knows-where)
before someone acknowledged what the problem could be and suggested that we
gently pry the case up then connect.  Our technician reminded the HP person
that their stock was not doing that well.
