Rinaldi, Ann._Amelia's war,_1999 [0-590-11744-0]
This is the story of Amelia, a young lady who lived in Hagerstown
during the Civil War. One gets a good feeling for what it must have
been like to live in a town that's control went constantly back and
forth between the North and South. Neighbors and friends were
sympathizers of both sides. This 264 page book is a little lower
reading level than Rinaldi's usual books and as a result will have a
larger audience. There are the usual historical notes at the end of
the book.
