Hi! I am currently an elementary school librarian in Kentucky. My husband and I will be moving to the Tuscon area in June and I am interested in hearing from librarians who teach in that area. I am currently in a library with open scheduling and great collaboration with my teachers. Is open or fixed scheduling the norm there? How about budgeting and processing? Are there site-based councils in schools there? Please tell me anything that you think would be helpful for someone coming to the area. We just visited the city last week and I must say I was impressed! What a beautiful place. I'd also be interested in hearing of any openings for the 2000-2001 school year. I am certified K - 12 here in Kentucky and had served as a High school and K-12 librarian before coming to my present position (can it be?) 14 years ago. Looking forward to hearing from some Western colleagues. Cheers!
