I took a copyright law workshop at our state library conference several =
years ago. The leader suggested that we make sure all our copiers and =
TV/VCRs had a brief statement about copyright infringement post on each =
machine with our name and title. If someone in our building is caught =
then we could not be named in the suit as we had shown we understood the =
law and that the user alone was responsible. =20

I came back to school after the conference and did just that. It
hasn't made any different in the number of teachers who show videos for =
indoor recess and to have time to grade papers, etc. But hopefully =
someone sometime will stop and think about what they are doing.
