TARGET: Value of Libraries

Posting my first message to LM_NET...hopefully this will make sense. :)

A parent at my school is involved in the Toastmasters Speaking Club
through BellSouth.  She is interested in giving a speech on the value of
libraries, especially public libraries, in our culture today.  She is
most concerned that modern technology will make our libraries of no use
for future generations.

Could you assist me in helping her give valid reasons for libraries to
"stay in business".  I will be glad to post a HIT if anyone else is
interested.
