Earl, et al.,
I recently shared a study with the students which resulted in the
conclusion that our human body clock runs on 28 hour days while the
earth rotates on 24 hour days . . . (I am looking for the study now ...
I remember reading about it long ago - I'll send anyone the details if
they email me directly - to help me locate the article) ...
In any case, I tell them that there are two theories about this: 1 - the
earth used to rotate more slowly and something hit it to speed it up
(like slapping a basketball to keep it rotating on one's finger) ...
Carolina Bays up and down the east coast provide proof that something
big hit the earth hard enough to splatter stuff all down the east coast
(and also causes the earth to wobble on its axis) ... **OR** 2 - we are
not from here . . . (that really raises their eyebrows...) . . . and
gets them to thinking about something beyond going to the movies on
Saturday...!

I might go give stumpers what I know about the article and see if anyone
can help me there...

Aloha y'all ... Earl J.
