Sophie's life becomes a soap opera (at least she thinks so) and
each chapter opens talking about that.  Her father calls her flaky
mother a "pyramidiot" and ends up taking up with a 21-year-old girl.
 The mother doesn't contend the divorce and just accepts
everything which includes the selling of their home in which all the
assets are invested.  Meanwhile Sophie befriends a boy whose
family has 50 ton bulldozer and jokes about bulldozing the home
before the closing to ruin everything.  This 186 page book is kind of
a sleeper until the climactic conclusion where you want to stand up
and cheer for the mother, "go girl!"
