Research Models

Greetings,
   I'm conducting a workshop on research process models this summer and would
like to know how many schools have adopted an information research model
along with the name of the model. I'm also wondering if teachers and media
specialists find them effective. Are your classroom teachers open to the
idea of following a research model?  Are they beneficial for students?
