Thank you for responding so quickly to my inquiry. The following are the
answers I received.

I used the program with my gifted fifth graders. I noticed that the pretest
was fairly difficult. However, the skills included in the practice were
extensive. The manangement was easy to use after you enrolled the students.
That was a tedious, confusing task. Recording keeping for the activities
was great. There is a lot to offer here, I am not sure how detailed to get.
I will say that the program will take some staff development!

We are using it at our 4-6 school of about 700 students. Our 5th & 6th
grades are departmentalized. Some of our teachers really like the program;
others hate it. It is a program that the teacher needs to keep up with all
the time. By this I mean, it is not a program that the students can do
without having a lot of teacher observation and intervention. It is a
program that lets good math students go on rather than being held back by
poorer math students. Teachers still need to teach math. This instruction
may be in small groups, but instruction still must go on.

If you would like more specific information, contact me directly.

The program is a real paper consumer.

I really have not had a chance to look at the program myself, but it seems
to be the general opinion of my fellow teachers that they hate the program.
However, that may be more a function of our central office plan that assures
that every teacher in the city is teaching the same lesson on the same day,
so the pacing has been furious.
