I received a preview box of wonderful animal books the other day and was all prepared to buy a lot of them when I checked the copyright date (as I always do) and saw that the date was 1995. My question now is: does it make sense to buy new books, no matter how satisfactory they are, if they are already 5 years old? They are books about dogs, bats, cats, snakes, spiders, whales, sharks, dolphins, and horses. They are published my Abdo & Daughters and I know my younger kids would love them. I have not seen them listed in 3 of the major vendor catalogs I checked, but the prices are typical and they are well bound and I like the way they are designed. I would love to keep these books, but what happens 5 years from now when it appears that the books are 10 years old? Thanks for any advice on this issue. I am afraid I already know the answer, but would like to hear from you anyway.
