Dear Nancy Voltmer,
I believe you are looking for ASCII character
codes.  They are part of my BASIC VERSION 3
REference Guide to my former compaq computer.
(They are in Appendix C).

~ For tilda, hold down alt, then pres 126.

` for the accent alt 096.

é is alt 130.

Sorry my list is limited and I could not find the
other codes.
