Hello. This is a question for high schools who integrate English and Social Studies. We are a 7 year old school working to reconfigure our Humanities program. We currently integrate 9, 10 & 11 grade English and Social Studies, but need to add another semester of required English. We are looking for ideas about how other schools who integrate curriculum schedule their 9th and 10th grade courses. Have you found more success with a 9th grade year-long Humanities block, or with a 9th grade separate English class? Which format do you think works better for students school-skill wise and social-skill wise? Please respond directly to me. sapplegate@ntsd.wednet.edu <mailto:sapplegate@ntsd.wednet.edu> Thanks for your help!
