HIT: AR#1 - Favorite AR books

Thanks to all who have contributed in the holiday spirit! We will be
purchasing classroom books for our new AR program and I appreciate all your
favorites - it will help in our classroom titles. This hit is in two parts
because I also received some wonderful advice and hints on AR. If folks find
this list wanting for their favorites, send it to me and I will compile
another hit.

In our two K-4 schools only the fourth grade students participate in AR. The
students seem to do best with picture books. So I have made that a large
portion of our AR collection. No one single title or group of titles is
overly popular. It seems to vary from year to year depending on the interest
of the students.
