I just finished reading the Rocky Mountain News article. This particular section caught my eye: "Before school, Martin might attend, for instance, a spelling meeting. After work, instead of making up for arriving early, she might head downtown to help a group of Denver Public Schools librarians put together a handbook on using the school library to improve CSAP scores. The book lists CSAP questions, followed by library lesson plans that teach the skills the questions test." I have been spending my entire, brief vacation working on lesson plans to supplement our desperate 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teachers who have the ugly task of working on CSAP tests. Their challenge is greater because the army will deliver a whole new group of kids after the Christmas break. Does anyone have access to the handbook stated above? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
