As a project for an online class that I am enrolled in, I need to design a unit that would teach library skills in a format where two thirds of the information would come from independent interactions with Web sources. This unit would be appropriate for fourth or fifth grade students. I have found several outstanding sites with tutorials and Webquests on the Dewey Decimal system. I'm looking for tutorials, etc. on alphabetizing, fiction and biography call numbers, use of reference sources, and so forth. I want to start with what is already available so I don't set forth recreating the wheel. Thanks for any suggestions--I will share the URL of my completed unit.
