We did this a few years ago, and it was kind of expensive - but WHAT AN
IMPACT!

We had a teacher who was an excellent photographer go around and take
teachers and monitors and any adult we thought a good subject, posing with
a favorite book.  (The next time I do this I will have  some classes of
students pose - I think the kids would like that)  Then got the film
developed and had 11x14 enlargements made of each  person.  They cost
about $10.00 each at the local photo store and can be done on a really
neat machine right there.

We had a local printer print up the posterboard with READ in red across
the top - we thought about using another color, but red really makes it.
We also had about a 1/2 in border printed as a frame for the picture,
underneath the READ.  The poster printing was expensive.  I think I had
100 sheets printed for $200.  (It was the break even price - you could
have fewer printed, but it would cost almost as much.)

Then we used a glue stick to mount to photos onto the posterboard.  We
tried a test lamination, but the laminate really dulled the photos and
didn't stick well to that part.

It worked well.  We put them up all over the building and many are still
up today.

It cost about $400 to do 25 posters. It will cost me less next time
because I've got the posterboard printed.
