Reading/Library Statistics & Quotes

Recently an LM_NET member posted a request for reading/library statistics
to help prepare for a Board of Education presentation.  She kindly
forwarded her results to me, but one of the most promising links was dead.
ABC News no longer has this article posted on their website.

By chance did anyone see this article and print it out?  Would you be
willing to fax or snail mail me a copy?

Also, does anyone know the source of this great quote about school libraries?

  I am also preparing for a Board of Education presentation where we are
asking for increased funding.  Any statistics/studies about test scores and
library media centers would really be helpful!
