Alexandria 5.0

e use Alexandria in our school libraries for automation. I have not
upgraded to 5.0 yet. One of our librarians did and lost part of her
Patron Data. I did read all of the information for the upgrade and
noticed that 2 upgrades have to be made to the Alex. data file before
conversion. Could not doing these 2 steps be the reason for losing the
patron data?  It is now making me a little nervous about doing this
upgrade.
