Hello, I have the opportunity to spend some unexpected money in my library. The only requirement is that it "enhance the curriculum technologically". There will be internet capability in most classrooms as soon as the wiring is complete. I intend to spend some on computer books and possibly on some updated astronomy information, in book or CDdroms. We do major units on electricity, solar system, oceans, wetlands, and New Jersey. I have been searching catalogs and educational sites, and the archives, but since this is such a diverse audience I am asking for help so I can cover more ground quickly and not overlook any gems. Someone has suggested Classroom Connect and I am looking into it. Question 1. Do you use Classroom Connect and is it helpful? Question 2. Is there something on computers and technology similar to scholastic news for kids? Question 3. Do you have any favorites I should know about? I have 10 days to submit so please answer and hurry :-) Tia,sue Susan Solheim Librarian-Teacher-Media Specialist McKinley Elementary School, Manahawkin, NJ Solheim@Worldnet.att.net (home email) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
