Geography Info

Dear LM_NETTERS:

I'm going to repost this because as I posted it last week I got a
mailer-daemon saying that it was undeliverable, but then it showed up in my
digest.  I'm guessing it just did not go out to the entire list

I have a fifth-grade class in my school that is studying about how geography
affects culture.  For example, here in Chicago, we have many lakefront
activities, we dye the Chicago River greeen on St. Patrick's Day, etc.  The
kids are now ready to study about other parts of the US and would love to
hear about the geography of the area and how the people their enjoy it.  I
know you're busy but just a few paragraphs from people are familiar with the
following areas would help to supplement their research.  Let me know and
I'll send to you what they have written about Chicago.  Please help if you
can.  TIA.  The areas they are studying are:
