Target: Sunflower websites, books

I've been lurking for a long time, but am new to posting -- please
forgive any mistakes.  Our elementary (K-4) school has a "green
classroom" this year; a garden beside the school where classes can
plant, compost, etc.  The classes are now having a contest to see who
can grow a sunflower that is the tallest, biggest, has the most seeds,
etc.  I would like to provide the teachers with some websites and have
some books to read to the students on the theme of gardening in general
and on sunflowers in particular.  I have done some searching but am not
having much luck.  If you could send me any titles or sites I would
really appreciate it.  Thanks for your help.
