Dear Colleagues; My district tech coordinator has asked me to find samples of Acceptable Use Policies for Internet use which faculty members are required to sign. Our school district is presently considering a separate AUP for its educators. TIA for taking the time to answer the questions below. Any additional insights on this matter are appreciated. If there is a large enough response, I will post a Hit. 1. Is the AUP the same for both faculty and students? 2. If different, what are the specific differences? 3. Prior to using the Internet for professional and educational purposes, does your district have any specific requirements for teachers such as taking in-service workshops on ways to integrate this technology into their programs of study? 4. If possible, may I have a copy of your faculty's AUP. -- Maureen D.
