Hi all - Responding to Janet's question, I have done some fun things with kids using the Big6 as a problem-solving model. The Big6 focuses on the "information" side of problems. Interpersonal issues are often information-related. The key is to first define the task - What's the problem and what types of information are needed to solve the problem (Big6 #1.1 and 1.2). For example, one exercise I've done is have students focus on the problem, "how do you know if someone likes you?" They will talk about the nature of the problem, the types of info needed and then move on to information seeking strategies and other Big6 stages. I'm sure you can think of other interpersonal situations to tackle from a Big6 perspective as well. If so, what is the model and how have you used it? Thanks for your help.
