Joanne et al -- It is incredible that there are not already laws in =
place regarding this type of harassment. What on earth takes lawmakers =
so long, anyway? It's not as though the internet is such a new thing.

I have not been subjected to the recent spate of spam but have been in =
the past. What you do NOT want to do is "reply" or otherwise =
acknowledge receipt of these emails, even (or especially) if the message =
states that by doing so you can "unsubscribe" to avoid further contact. =
This only confirms the validity of your email address to them. They do =
not care one whit about how offended you might be.

I do believe that these characters have had free reign in the past but =
that it is soon coming to an end. They should get busy looking for =
another hobby. As far as the general public is concerned, the best way =
to fight things like this is to remember that knowledge is power.
