GEN: collection mapping

Dear LM-Netters,

could anyone provide me with sources or information on collection mapping=
?
I only found two articles of 1985 that are not obtainable at ERIC and
UnCover.

Is collection mapping an effective tool for collection development?

I would appreciate helpful replies.
