GEN: Historical Fiction Novels for 8th Grade

Our Social Studies teacher would like to use historical fiction novels in
his 8th Grade American History class. He will use them during the last six
weeks of this school year. I have found some good examples, but want to make
sure that this list includes the most current titles available. A variety of
reading levels (about 6-10 grade) would be nice.

Because it is the last six weeks, the subjects are:

The Cold War
Civil Rights
The Vietnam War
