Re: Damaged book tale

My favorite damaged book tale was from one of my elementary students.  His
mother had picked it up with a load of laundry and washed it in the washing
machine!  When he brought it to me I inspected the book throughly.  It was
completely dry, the pages weren't even wavy, and the only major damage was
to the book pocket.  The call number, title and author that were typed on
it were completely wiped off!
