Re: Damaged books

With all the stories about destroyed books I thought I should pass on my
"book bag" advice.  Each June I order several designs of plastic book bags
from a library supply store.  Book bags are added to every classes school
supply list.  We then sell them for $1.00 in September.  Many of our
students buy all their supplies from the school, but others don't and still
buy the bags.  This way all the primaries usually have a book bag and I
have some left to sell during the year.  The students are always excited to
see the new designs.  I also sell them at Meet the teacher night in the fall.
Also, don't forget about the Dr. Book Love idea that was posted last year.
It's a great way to remind everyone about book care.
