My original question is at the bottom. Session: Teaching Elementary Age Children Research Skills Using Popular Nonfiction Authors as Models. Jane Hunter Imber jhimber@usd497.k12.ks.us and Margie Coggins margcogg@usd497.k12.ks.us phone 785-832-5820 Lawrence3, KS The Research Triangle was created by Ann Sampson, Blue Springs (MO) High School and adapted by Beth Welsh of Lawrence, KS. From the top of the inverted triangle the headings are: General Encyclopedias Subject Encyclopedias Library Catalog Periodical Index Electronic Databases Internet I will be using this with my third and fourth grade classes as an overhead transparency to direct students in planning research strategies and to help stop the headlong rush to use the Internet for every question. ************----- Original question -----*************** During AASL one of the sessions showed an inverted triangle to teach choosing reference sources.
