When I first started using the Internet, I put the address of my school on
my signature.  Before too long, I started getting junk mail from businesses
that had obviously seen the address of the school on the signature file.
Needless to say, I took the school's address off my personal signature.
Even though the address is on the school's home page, I have had no further
problems.

On a more positive note, I had emailed a hotel about a lost jacket.  Even
though I had included my post office box address in the email, when the
jacket was returned it was sent to me at W. J. Christian School, Birmingham,
AL  35206.  I got a Christmas card the same way.  I was glad in these cases
that I did have enough on my signature file so that mail could be sent to
me.
