I too have lost it on several books
Clown of God   by Tommy Depola
The Byrds Christmas Carol   published in the 1800's
and the Velveteen Rabbit

But , I was brought to earth when I lost it in front of a second grade and was
comforted by a little girl  who said " Don't cry Miss R the little girl didn't
really die it's only a story. "

Out of the mouth of babes , sometimes I think kids are more grounded than adults.
