I have to add this one to the already long list of beautiful tear jerkers.  It's

Polacco's Thank You, Mr. Falker.  Even the kids cry when I reach the end of this 
one.  As
many times as I've read it aloud, I can't control my voice on the last page.  One 
day I
read it aloud to my adult book group (we had decided to bring in our favorite 
picture
books to present to a pregnat colleague), and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

If you love learning and you love books -- and if you're a teacher as well -- you 
can't
help but be moved by this story.
