GEN: NEA Today - libraries are invisible

Here is my February issue of NEA Today (National Education Association)
with the cover story about Read Across America.  Once again, here is one
day to celebrate reading and encourage reading.  With no mention of school
libraries (or any libraries, for that matter) who celebrate and encourage
reading throughout the year.  Sort of a glaring omission, I think.  I wrote
to them last year about the same thing.  If any of you want to comment to
them, the address is neatoday@nea.org.  Any other ideas about how to wake
up the largest teacher union in our country to the existance and importance
of school libraries??
