I grew up in Scranton, PA where we ate "wimpies". When
I went to college in the Poconos everyone laughed at
me because they called them "sloppy joes". Also when
you were in a hurry you were "going 240" I later
lived in CT near someone who grew up in Beverly, Mass.
who said she was always "going 210" when her kids
were little. It is supposed to have originiated with
railroad line numbers?! Also, in Scranton we ate
"hoagies" which were called "subs" in college and
"grinders" in CT.
