Further to the inquiry re. Brittanica online - there are a variety of other multiple-encyclopedia Web-based sources that you might be interested in knowing about. Try eg - http://www.libraryspot.com for an array of 12 encyclopedias. http://www.internetoracle.com/encyclop.htm which in turn uncovers another 30 or so encyclopedias. http://www.refdesk.com/factency.html offers about 50 encyclopedias. http://edis.win.tue.nl/encyclop.html http://stommel.tamu.edu/~baum/hyperref.html#encyclopedias - has 90 encyclopedias (as well as hundreds of dictionaries and glossaries) http://www.kalama.com/~mariner/qserencyclo.htm - another 30 or so Finally, if you still want more (!) try a meta search engine like say www.redesearch.com, which throws up about 150 sites from 10 search engines to presumably hundreds more encyclopdedias.
