Netters,
Has anyone out there had any experience with hospital library service to
children/parents? I am volunteering this summer in a family resource
library within a children's medical center. There is no librarian; the
funding fell through. There is an office with a computer connected to
Internet. Presently, a book cart is rolled around to patients' rooms
each day. A sheet on clip board lists materials checked out indicating
Rm.#, date, name, title, author. They check out children's books,
magazines, videos, and adult paperbacks.
I would like to catalog the small collection and initiate a better
method of check in/out. The budget is very small so something like
Follett is out of the question. Also any better circulation mechanism
than card&pocket?
Many thanks for your suggestions.
