Hello everyone! I realize a lot of people are not around in the summer, but I am DESPERATE to find out information about what it would be like for me to find a job in either a school, public, or academic library in the L.A. area. My husband has a possible job offer there, and I truly don't know what to expect for me, especially seeing as it is such a LARGE city. One problem I have is that I do NOT have school certification, so I have worked in private schools my whole career. I would be open to public, but are they willing to work with me on that? What are public schools like for library media positions? What are private schools like? Are there a lot? What are my possibilities? What are the better areas to live & work? Please be perfectly honest about everything, because I would need to work once we got there, and I want to know all that I can expect--good & bad. Our lives and well-being depend on it, honestly. Thanks for all of your help & wisdom!
