I still remember my first days out of library school, MLS in hand.  I was
expected to teach the Dewey Decimal System to my students - and I didn't
know it!  I learned it one lesson ahead of my students and by teaching five
classes on each Dewey number.

After twenty plus years I still amaze students by being able to give them
the Dewey number for a requested book without having to look it up.

And as an old t-shirt of mine says: "Dewey, Sure We Do!"
