The audio version is out...our Wal-mart held on to them until the books ran
out and then put the audio tapes out (alongside the C.S. Lewis books)
probably to "comfort" those who didn't get the actual HP 4.

As a side note:  I checked the Doubleday bookclub online at
http://www.doubledaybookclub.com   and found that you can order the HP 4 as
your "introductory" selection and pay only shipping and handling.  The cost
of the book then is only $3.95  (but you must buy 4 more titles within the
next year or so...is this a problem for a librarian who usually shops
online?). Just thought it might be an option for some who want to order the
book and don't mind the responsibility of ordering more.... I ordered mine
and should be receiving it soon....my kids are fighting for my other three
volumes to read so I'm hoping that I get it before they finish, otherwise
there may be some serious nightly "story times around the living room" when
it finally arrives. (What a concept!  Reading!)
