Hello collective brain!!

We've a question in our system about showing videos. We normal show
videos only if they have "Public Access Rights." However, I am wondering
if this is necessary. The library owns an extensive collection, and I
would like to show something a little more up-beat to the teens that come
to our programming. The question is...what is the copyright law on
showing videos? Am I allowed to show something like _The Karate Kid_ to
30 teens if they show up to watch it as long as I'm not charging
admission?? If you could give me something concrete, I'd be grateful!!

Thanks.
