Jamie McKenzie's presentation at the AASL president's program at ALA on
Saturday was just the shot in the arm that so many of us need.  How wonde=
rful
to hear a "recovering superintendent" (as he describes himself) recognize=
 and
recommend the value of school librarians to the educational process.
Anyone else want to start a write-in campaign to nominate Jamie as our
official Champion/Spokesperson to the educational/administrative Powers T=
hat
Be?  He *looks like* a suit, so they'd be more likely to listen to him. .=
 . =

and his enthusiasm would certainly wake the (figurative) dead.

Read his website, buy and share his books with your supervisors, and run,=
 do
not walk, to see him whenever/wherever you can!
