Dear Ms. O'Brien,

AR stands for Accelerated Reader and is a computerized reading management pr=
ogram. Students read books and then take a short comprehension test on the=20=
book that they have read. To learn more, you can visit the site, http://www=
.advlearn.com

Accelerated Reader is a huge part of our reading program in the Tuscaloosa C=
ity Schools. We love it and the students do too! It really motivates reluc=
tant readers and children who are reading below grade level.

Good luck,
Amelia Pilsch, librarian
pilsch@msn.com
