Thank you to all that replied. I received MANY responses. It seems that the majority of you use the paint sticks that about 95% received free from your local lumber store (Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.). Some of you paint them, some number them and assign them to students, many decorate with stickers or rubber stamps. There are a couple people who said that they even put the students barcode on them and they carried them up with them to check out. Many replies about the paint stirring sticks and how well they work. Some of you give the plastic ones (Highsmith or Demco). You may give them to just the younger and the older gets the wooden paint sticks. A few of you use rulers (wooden or plastic) and the seem to work well also. A few of you laminated them and rewarded returns with stickers - which they of course wouldn't want to destroy. A few of you suggested not using shelf markers at all because you wanted to emphasize the books and not placement or because its not worth the trouble. I hope that I have summed up the replies. Thank you again! ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
