I'm one of the few men teachers here who wear ties. In fact, I wear a tie
every school day during the summer, and most Wednesdays I wear a jacket as
well. I wear a tie because it sets me off as an adult, rather than a
student (just ignore the gray hair, please).

This spring I helped one of the other teachers move from one house to
another. I changed into work clothes before I left school, and one of the
students happened to see me in jeans. He was shocked, and commented that he
had never seen me in jeans before!
